My Journey

Starting from the age of 3 I’ve had an irresistible compulsion to create. Seeing something build slowly into a representation of my perception of reality has always brought me a sense of comfort and meaning. If I make something I am giving the world an item that wouldn’t exist without the labor of my hands.

The passion I have for art only grew from there. In elementary and middle school, I developed an appreciation for other forms of art such as music and theatre. However, none of the other forms of art captures my heart and attention like visual art. I did audition for Denver School of the Arts in the 6th grade however didn’t make it past the interview stage. This didn’t stop me from continuing to pursue my passion. I entered multiple school and district art shows throughout my student career eventually winning multiple awards in high school. I dealt with a lot of loss and mental health issues throughout high school which turned my work into a form of therapy for me.

I continued to pursue my passion after graduating attending Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design on a scholarship in pursuit of an art education degree. Covid hit a year into my schooling, and I had extreme difficulty transitioning into an online format. I ended up dropping out. Once Covid calmed down a bit I ended up getting a scholarship to play softball at Pratt Community College for a degree in psychology. I was thinking that I could possibly be an art therapist. My coach left the school going into my second year and my passion for softball was dwindling when I got the opportunity to become an apprentice at a tattoo studio. I decided to drop out and pursue that path. Almost a year into my apprenticeship my health took a rapid decline, and I wasn’t willing to put the studio over my health so I had to leave.

From there I have been a corporate slave during the day and manic creator at night. The common denominator between all of the paths I’ve walked is visual art. Now in 2025 I am pursuing my passion further by selling prints, creating community, and curating courses that other artists can follow for technique and inspiration.
